Anstruther -

Scottish clan with the Anstruther in Fife i n eastern Scotland. The name comes from the town of Anstruther, w ho was considered to be family based. In 1483, Andrew Anstruther confirmed the right to baronii and fought with the British at the Battle of Flodden Field in 1513. His second son, David, fought in the Battle of Pavia in 1520 in the service of Francis s I, which forms the Scots in the French regiment.
